Mike, a 65-year-old man, had been managing diabetes and hypertension for years. Despite paying for health insurance, he constantly found himself trapped in a frustrating cycle of rushed 10-minute doctor’s appointments and hours-long waits in emergency rooms—only to hear the same advice: “Follow up with your doctor.”
One night, Mike felt unwell again. Instead of going to the ER, he decided to sleep on it. By morning, it was too late—Mike had suffered a stroke, and the critical window to reverse the damage had passed.
Sarah says, "That’s when I knew things had to change."
Mike is Sarah’s father, and his story is all too common. Families across the country face the same frustrations—long waits, rushed care, and often, treatment that comes too late.
Rami and Sarah Almilli are licensed clinicians who worked with over 150,000 patients and saw firsthand how broken the system was. They knew patients like Mike deserved better. That’s why they founded ELAK Health: to offer personalized, compassionate care directly at home, preventing the kinds of emergencies families dread.
ELAK Health is the answer to today’s healthcare challenges, addressing the growing demand for care in the face of limited supply. With an aging population, rising healthcare expectations, and increasing cases of chronic and acute diseases, the strain on primary care physicians and practitioners has never been greater. Overburdened and stressed, these professionals struggle to meet patient needs effectively.
At ELAK Health, we correct this imbalance. Our service ensures access to healthcare within 24 to 48 hours, including after-hours availability from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends. We prioritize consistent follow-up care, checking in with patients at least once a week or as needed, ensuring they stay supported throughout their healthcare journey. When it’s time for a doctor’s visit, we don’t just stop at scheduling—we accompany the patient to the appointment, maximizing the efficiency of the visit and closing any communication or knowledge gaps.
In addition, we provide administrative support throughout the healthcare process, answer healthcare-related questions, and offer access to comprehensive medical information. Our goal is to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations, reduce emergency room visits, and minimize the need for urgent care. By supporting physicians and practitioners, we help them focus on diagnoses and patient care, all while providing value-added patient benefits and offering referral income opportunities for healthcare partners.
